The German final of Gelato Festival Europe brought sixteen top gelato artisans to Berlin’s Alexanderplatz on 1 and 2 June 2019.

Gelato Festival America made its first stop in Boston on 1 and 2 June 2019, presented by Eataly Boston, on a five-city US tour.

Jakub Cwiklinski and Mariusz Gorecki won the IX Polish Ice Cream Championship at Expo Sweet in Warsaw and joined the Polish team for the 2020 Gelato World Cup.

Italy’s team for the 2020 Gelato World Cup was decided at Sigep Gelato d’Oro 2019 after three days of gelato, pastry, ice sculpting and haute cuisine contests.

Seven chefs competed in Long Island on 25 April 2019. Torta di Mele won the Gelato category and Honey Vanilla the Ice Cream category.

Twenty-five artisans competed in the Carpigiani Challenge semifinal in Tokyo on 3 and 4 April 2019, and 12 flavours advanced to the Yokohama final.

Twenty-five Hungarian artisans competed in Budapest on 2 April 2019, and Ádám Fazekas won first place and the Next Generation prize with Pistachio Fruit.

Hungarian chef Adam Fazekas won the Next Generation challenge at the 2019 Gelato Festival in Rome, securing a place in the Gelato Festival World Masters 2021 final.

The Gelato Festival 2019 tour visited Villa Borghese in Rome on 13 and 14 April, with 16 young gelato makers competing in the Next Generation challenge.
