Carpigiani Gelato University at Expo 2019 Beijing
The World Horticultural Exposition opened in Beijing on 29 April 2019 and ran until 7 October, one of the largest and highest-level international exhibitions held in China.
Gelato culture at the Expo
Safety, health and harmony between people and nature were themes of the Expo, and also values associated with Italian artisan gelato. That is why Carpigiani Gelato University took part, helping share gelato culture with visitors.
Over the May Day holiday, teachers Daniela and Cindy ran an open class on the art of Italian gelato, sharing its secrets and its history. The university could be found at Café 6 in the Life Experience Zone of the exhibition grounds.
