Love Soft Serve: A Valentine’s Concept for Chocolate Shops

Love is a premium soft serve concept from Carpigiani’s Soft Serve Consulting service, themed on the sweetness of love and sharing pleasure. It was designed for chocolate shops that want to reinterpret chocolate beyond its usual season.

The retail idea and target

Retail concept: a chocolate shop, or a chain of them, in locations with heavy tourist traffic. The aim is to take chocolate out of its seasonal slot and present it in a new way. Semi-experienced staff can reproduce the idea easily, and the decorations are made in-house.

Target: customers from teenagers on a first romantic outing to adults treating themselves, aged 15 to 45, with average spending capacity and a mix of planned and impulse purchases.

Food design and styling

Love is made for couples who want to share small moments of pleasure, treating romance as something to celebrate at any time. The chocolate and caramel mix creates a multisensory experience, and the soft waves are garnished with fruit chocolate hearts.

The effect comes from the triangle nozzle. The colour palette follows the product styling and can inspire the shop’s decoration. The marketing plan is to launch on Valentine’s Day and keep selling through to spring.
