Gelato Festival Austria Final in Baden
On 19 and 20 June 2019, the Austrian final of the Gelato Festival took place in Vienna-Baden as part of the Food Festival, billed as one of the biggest gelato festivals and coolest competitions around.
Sixteen artisans in Josefsplatz
Sixteen of Austria’s best-known gelato artists competed in the central square. Each presented an exclusive recipe, prepared fresh during the competition and served to a jury of experts. Final placings combined the audience vote with the expert jury’s scores.
Tasting the flavours
Visitors bought a ticket at the Gelato Village information desk or through the Gelato Festival ticket page. A ticket gave access to sixteen samples and a vote for a favourite.
