Carpigiani Wins the McDonald’s Global Reliability Award 2017

Carpigiani received the McDonald’s Global Reliability Award for 2017, two years after winning the McDonald’s innovation award in 2015.
The ceremony
The award was presented on 18 April at the Orlando Convention Center in Florida during McDonald’s World Wide Convention. Jim Fox, Corporate VP Restaurant Solutions at McDonald’s, handed it to Andrea Cocchi, CEO of Carpigiani Group. Carpigiani was founded in 1946 in Anzola Emilia and is a world leader in ice cream machine production.
Why Carpigiani was chosen
The award goes to the supplier whose products achieve the highest reliability score and consistently meet or exceed every reliability threshold. McDonald’s said Carpigiani stood out among its many suppliers for recognising how important reliability is to the company and its customers, noting a consistent focus on the quality and reliability of components and manufacturing. According to McDonald’s, Carpigiani had kept its reliability scores under the required threshold for more than seven years, and was the only supplier of such complex equipment in the McDonald’s system to do so.
What this means for foodservice operators in Australia
Reliability matters most when machines run all day, every day. Majors Group backs Carpigiani soft serve machines with a national service team, and can advise on equipment for quick service restaurants.
